A hot/windy October weekend ahead
We are headed into the second weekend of October, but it will not feel anything close to an October weekend. Highs this weekend will be in the 80s, with lows in the 60s. To put this in perspective, the average high and low this weekend is 61° and 39°. It will also be windy, with the strongest winds on Saturday. This will create air quality concerns from blowing dust, especially into southwestern Minnesota. There are also some fire concerns for Saturday from the strong wind and warm temperatures, but right now, it looks the relative humidity will stay just high enough to not be a major concern.
