Employers added 178,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate fell to 4.3 percent, a much stronger showing than expected.
Despite the labor market bouncing back from a rough February, the unemployment rate for recent college grads aged 22 to 27 stood at 5.7% in the fourth quarter of 2025, up from 5.3% in the prior quarter, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s latest data release.
